Options 38 is a program designed for students who desire an alternative approach to the school schedule. Students in Options 38 take three classes at a time with each class lasting for one nine week quarter. The core curriculum of LPHS is offered within this structure, as well as experiential classes including Healthy Cooking, Outdoor Education, and Film Studies. In addition, students have opportunities to take extra classes and online classes to remediate credits. With up to seventy students and three teachers, Options 38 provides a smaller environment within the larger high school.
